PURPOSE : An apparatus and a method for treating sewage sludge are provided to improve quality of treated water by inducing absorption of phosphorous from sewage sludge that has been drawn out in the sewage treatment process, thereby preventing re-discharge of phosphorous, and reduce the amount of sludge treated and reduce the sludge treatment cost accordingly by concentrating and discharging sludge.
CONSTITUTION : An apparatus(100) for treating sewage sludge comprises : a first drawing pipe(110) of which one end is installed at a sewage treatment reactor(10), and of which the other end extends to the outside to transfer sludge in the reactor to the outside by a first pump(111); a sludge concentration tank(120) in which the extending the other end of the first drawing pipe is longitudinally embedded such that the transferred sludge flows into the sludge concentration tank, and the sludge that has flown into the sludge concentration tank is settled and concentrated, and of which a lower part is formed in the form of a hopper that diameter of the hopper becomes narrow as it goes from an upper side to a lower side of the hopper; an aeration equipment(130) which is embedded in the sludge concentration tank to induce phosphorous absorption of the sludge that has flown into the sludge concentration tank by aerating oxygen intermittently; a second drawing pipe(140) of which one end is longitudinally embedded below the first drawing pipe within the sludge concentration tank, and of which the other end extends to the outside to transfer the sludge from which the phosphorous has been absorbed, and which has been settled and concentrated in the sludge concentration tank to the outside by a second pump(141); and a concentrating detention tank(150) which is connected to the extending the other end of the second drawing pipe, into which sludge that has been transferred through the second drawing pipe flows, and which reconcentrates and stores the sludge that has flown into the concentrating detention tank.
