PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To produce a polyester molded article having a good quality and a small cyclic trimer content from a polyester polycondensed at a relatively low cost without using an expensive rare metal catalyst such as germanium and a heavy metal catalyst, such as antimony, having a fear on environmental hygiene. SOLUTION : The method for producing the polyester molded article having a cyclic timer content of ≤0.38 mass% is characterized by thermally molding polyester particles which are obtained from a dicarboxylic acid component consisting mainly of terephthalic acid and a diol component consisting mainly of ethylene glycol, has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.60 to 1.5 dL/g, an average particle diameter of 0.5 to 5.0 mm, and a cyclic trimer content of ≤0.30 mass%, contains titanium atoms, substantially not contain germanium atom and antimony atom, without performing one or more treatments selected from a water treatment, an organic solvent treatment, and a peroxide treatment.
