PURPOSE : A bipolar plate for a solid oxide fuel cell is provided to realize improved oxidation resistance and high-temperature conductivity by forming an oxide with excellent conductivity on the surface of a substrate. CONSTITUTION : A bipolar plate for a solid oxide fuel cell comprises : a metal substrate; and a coating layer formed on the metal substrate, wherein the coating layer comprises a cobalt(Co)-metal(M) alloy(wherein M is a rare earth metal element). The metal substrate includes a ferrite-based stainless steel sheet. The metal(M) is selected from the group consisting of Sc, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu and a combination thereof. © KIPO 2008
