PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a magnetoresistive film, which is used for a power-saving magnetic device, having magnetoresistive effect displaying MR ratio of 3% or larger at room temperature and high electrical resistivity of 10 μ.Ω cm or higher. SOLUTION : This magnetoresistive film is a granular film, whose compositon is represented by the formula (Fe1-a-b COa Nib)100-w-x-y-z Lw Mx Oy Fz , wherein L is one or more elements selected form among Ru, Rh, Pd, Os, Ir, and Pt, and M is one or more elements selected form among Be, Mg, Al, Si, Ca, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Sr, Zr, Nb, Ba, Hf, Ta, W, an rare earth elements; and the magnetoresistive film has a magnetoresistive effect of 3% or larger and high electric resistivity of 10 μ.Ωcm or higher at room temperature.
