FILTER FOR COLLECTING OIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a filter for collecting oil, which has a self-cleaning function of cleaning lampblack generated when cooking is done and decomposing/removing a stuck oil stain and in which the oil stain can be decomposed/removed at lower temperature. SOLUTION : The filter 3 for collecting oil is arranged in a ventilation path 2 through which lampblack 1 passes and a heater 4 for heating a catalyst is arranged on the downstream side of the filter for collecting oil. The catalyst composed of a noble metal, sulfate of an alkali metal, an oxide of a rare earth element and an inorganic oxide is deposited on the filter 3 for collecting oil. Oil in lampblack 1 is collected on the filter 3 for collecting oil when passing through the filter 3 for collecting oil and brought into contact with the catalyst. The catalyst is heated by the heater 4 and activated to decompose/remove the oil by the catalysis thereof. Since the catalyst exhibits high activity to oil, the oil can be decomposed/removed at comparatively lower temperature. Since the oil stain is not accumulated on the filter 3 for collecting oil, the filter for collecting oil can be kept in a clean state. COPYRIGHT : (C)2009, JPO&INPIT
