PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a corrosion-resistant rare earth magnet coated with a layer having corrosion resistance and heat resistance. SOLUTION : The corrosion-resistant rare earth magnet is obtained by applying a treatment liquid comprising flaky fine powder and a silicon resin over the surface of an R-T-M-B rare earth permanent magnet, and then heating the liquid to form a composite layer, wherein R is at least one kind of a rare earth element containing Y, and T is Fe, or Fe and Co, and M is selected from Ti, Nb, Al, V, Mn, Sn, Ca, Mg, Pb, Sb, Zn, Si, Zr, Cr, Ni, Cu, Ga, Mo, W and Ta, contents of the respective elements are 5 mass%≤R≤40 mass%, 50 mass%≤T≤90 mass%, 0 mass%≤M≤8 mass%, and 0.2 mass%≤B≤8 mass%, and the flaky fine powder is selected from Al, Mg, Ca, Zn, Si, Mn or an alloy thereof, and has more negative potential than that of the permanent magnet.
