PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To obtain a new rare earth bond magnet capable of obtaining high anticorrosion and improving mechanical strength, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION : Voids 14 and a part of a surface part 12a of a magnet main body 12 formed by molding mixture in which rare earth magnet powder and resin binder are mixed at a specified ratio are filled and covered by using carbon powder 16. The whole surface part 12a of the magnet main body 12 containing the parts filled and covered with carbon powder 16 is covered with a metal plating layer 18. As a result, anticorrosion and mechanical strength of a rare earth bond magnet are improved.
