PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an ion-conducting material improved in ion conductivity and durability against water, capable of restraining causticity to an electrode or the like, and expected to be stable with time. SOLUTION : This ion-conducting material is characterized by containing a compound expressed by Formula (1), wherein X is one or more kinds of elements selected from a group comprising boron, nitrogen, aluminum, silicon, phosphorus, arsenic and selenium; M is one or more kinds of elements selected from a group comprising alkaline metals, alkaline-earth metals, transition metals and rare-earth metals; M1and M2may be the same or different from each other, each expressing an organic linking group; (a) is an integer of one or more; and (b), (c) and (d) each are an integer of zero or more.
