PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a luminous fishline emitting light by light, exhibiting extremely long afterglow luminous characteristics after removing the light, and having excellent water resistance and characteristics of low specific gravity, high strength and low elongation. SOLUTION : The luminous fishline comprises a conjugate fiber obtained by covering the surface of a core component comprising a pseudo monofilament obtained by twisting and/or braiding a plurality of filaments having 17-30 cN/dtex breaking strength and 440-550 cN/dtex initial modulus with a coating component comprising a coating material containing a luminous fluorescent substance obtained by doping a rare earth oxide as an activator to an alkaline earth metal oxide, and regulated so that the area proportions of the core component and the coating component may be 50-95% and 5-50% respectively, and the specific gravity may be within the range of 1.0-1.3.
