PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for simply and economically raising shellfishes on a small scale at a high growth rate without requiring large-sized equipment. SOLUTION : The method for raising the shellfishes is carried out as follows. Spats or young shellfishes of shellfishes are nipped between narrow nonwoven fabrics containing biodegradable fibers at a prescribed interval, twisted and included therein. The resultant stringy material is continuously embedded in at least one groove in earth and sand at the seabed while digging the groove. COPYRIGHT : (C)2007, JPO&INPIT
