PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth magnet thin plate of which a work degradation layer is effectively restored to provide excellent magnetic characteristics and corrosion resistance.SOLUTION : The rare earth magnet is obtained from a raw material of R-B-Fe-Co-Ni-Ti alloy powder in which a part or all of added Ti is solid-solved, where R (at least one kind selected from lanthanoids including Y) : 10-25 at%, B : 2-20 at%, Fe : 10 at% to less than 73 at%, Co : 7-50 at%, Ni : 5-30 at%, (Fe+Co+Ni) : 55 at% to less than 88 at%, and Ti : 0.5-3 at%. It comprises R(Fe, Co, Ni)4B phase and R2(Fe, Co, Ni)14B phase where TiB2 phase is diffused and precipitated, with atom number ratio Fe/(Fe+Co+Ni) in R(Fe, Co, Ni)4B phase being 0.50 or less, and the thickness of a magnet is 20-300 μm. A diffusion layer of the rare earth element is formed on the surface of the rare earth magnet.COPYRIGHT : (C)2007, JPO&INPIT
