PURPOSE : An acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive composition including acrylic copolymer is provided to show balance between low speed releasing and high speed releasing abilities, to protect surface of a polarizing plate and to have excellent re-releasing property by comprising the acrylic copolymer which principally contains alkyl(meth)acrylic ester monomer. CONSTITUTION : The composition includes acrylic copolymer which principally contains alkyl (meth)acrylic ester monomer having C2 to C14, has gel fraction ranging of 45-75%%, expansion ratio of 5-20 and weight average molecular weight of sol of more than 300, 000. The sol is eluted from adhesive by ethyl acetate. The gel fraction and the expansion ratio are calculated by the equations of : gel fraction(%%) = B/A x 100 and expansion ratio = C/B, wherein A is weight of the composition, B is dry weight of insoluble portion of the composition after 48 hours immersion in ethyl acetate and C is weight of insoluble portion expanded by ethyl acetate after 48 hours immersion in ethyl acetate. © KIPO 2007
