PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a magnet that is superior in dimension accuracy and shape flexibility, and having superior heat resistance and magnetic characteristics than those of bonded magnets.
SOLUTION : A method for manufacturing a rare-earth alloy system binderless magnet comprises the steps of preparing a rare-earth system quenching alloy magnet powder (A); forming an compression molding having not lower than 70% nor higher than 95% volume ratio of the rare-earth system quenching alloy magnet powder of the total, by cold compression molding the rare-earth system quenching alloy magnet powder, without the use of a resin binder (B); heat-treating the compression molding at the temperature of not lower than 350°C nor higher than 800°C after the process (B), and forming the magnet body (C); and forming a wet-type metal plating film on the surface of the magnet body (D).
