PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To suppress a deterioration in the performance of thermal barrier coating material by suppressing the extinction of pores present in the initial stage even when the material is used in high temperature environment for a long period of time. SOLUTION : In the thermal barrier coating material applied to the surface of metallic parts used in a high temperature environment, and mainly made up of rare earth stabilized zirconia, an oxide material which is not reacted with zirconia, and has a melting point higher than the temperature of the working environment is compounded.
