PURE SILVER MATERIAL AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a pure silver material hardly causing crystal grain growth even if heat treated at ≥500°C and hardly causing cracking at subsequent working and also to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION : The pure silver material consists of silver and metallic elements as inevitable impurities, and a part or all of the inevitable impurity elements form oxides, and further, average crystal grain size after heating at a temperature between 500°C and the melting point becomes ≤100 μm. Effective inevitable impurities are calcium, magnesium, aluminum, copper, manganese, iron, lead, silicon, palladium and rare-earth metals, and their total concentration is 5 to 500 ppm.
