Process for the preparation of light olefins in catalytic cracking from hydrocarbon feedstock

PURPOSE : Provided is a method for improving the production of a rigid olefin-based hydrocarbon compound such as ethylene and propylene and for minimizing separation and hydrogenation. CONSTITUTION : The method comprises the steps of contacting a hydrocarbon source materials mixture and vapor in the presence of a catalyst to decompose it; recycling the catalyst to re-supply it into the decomposition furnace; cooling, compressing and separating the reaction product obtained from the contact decomposition to recovery hydrogen, methane and C2-C3 olefin-based hydrocarbons and to separate it into a fluid containing C2-C3 paraffin-based hydrocarbons and a fluid containing C4+ hydrocarbons; flowing the fluid containing C2-C3 paraffin-based hydrocarbons into a recycle furnace to convert it into C2-C3 olefin-based hydrocarbon by pyrolysis and circulating it into the cooling process; and circulating at least some part of the fluid containing C4+ hydrocarbons into the contact decomposition process, the catalyst regeneration system or the both systems. © KIPO 2007
