PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a high-performance ferrite magnet having a high Br and high remanence ratio Hk/iHc by preparing a microstructure where La and/or Co is unevenly distributed.
SOLUTION : The ferrite magnet which has a major component composition expressed by (A1-xRx)O-[(Fe1-yMy)2O3] (atomic ratio) (wherein A is Sr and/or Ba, R is at least one kind of rare earth elements containing Y and definitely contains La, M is Co or Co and Zn, and x, y, and n are numerals that each meet the following conditions : 5.0≤n≤6.4, 0.01≤x≤0.4, and 0.005≤y≤0.04), and substantially has a magneto-plumbite type crystal structure, and a low-concentration region of La or Co is present in a scope in which a circle of diameter of at least 0.2 μm can stay.
