PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To smoothly fill into a metal mold by making good flowability of a fine rare earth alloy powder to improve magnetic field orientation.SOLUTION : When the fine rare earth alloy powder is molded and then sintered into a rare earth sintered magnet, a bulk density of the fine powder is made smaller by 5% or more than that of the fine powder during storage, before using the powder for molding. The powder is stirred in an inert gas atmosphere to reduce its bulk density. The powder is used for molding within 24 hours after the stirring.COPYRIGHT : (C)2006, JPO&NCIPI
