PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide magnetic beads capable of accurately quantify a sample and a treatment method of a biorelated substance, more detailed, a recovery method of the magnetic beads, a method for accurately quantifying a recovery, a method for measuring the leak amount of the magnetic beads not trapped at the time of recovery and a method for reducing the adsorption of the magnetic beads to a container. SOLUTION : The magnetic beads are glass particles comprising glass containing a rare-earth element. The treatment method of the biorelated substance includes a process for bonding the biorelated substance to the glass particles, a process for irradiating the glass particles with exciting light and a process for detecting fluorescence emitted from the glass particles.
