PURPOSE : Provided are a bonding agent for an aluminum nitride sintered body, which imparts an excellent bonding ability even at a low bonding temperature, and an aluminum nitride composite body and a manufacturing method thereof. CONSTITUTION : The bonding agent contains a flux and an aluminum nitride powder. The flux contains calcium aluminate, or calcium oxide and aluminium oxide and has less than 5wt% of a rare-earth element. The aluminum nitride composite body(10) comprises many aluminum nitride sintered bodies(1, 2) and a bonding layer(3) that is formed between the many aluminum nitride sintered bodies(1, 2), contains nitrogen, oxygen, aluminum, and calcium, and has less than 15wt% of a rare-earth element. © KIPO 2006
