PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide exhaust tube glass for a display, which hardly causes crack or leakage even when a substrate having a small coefficient of thermal expansion is used, does not soften and deform in the process ranging from exhausting gas of the inside of a panel to introducing/sealing a rare gas, and which is easy to fusion cut and seal, and to provide the exhaust tube for the display produced by using the glass.SOLUTION : The exhaust tube glass for the display is SiO2-Al2O3-B2O3-based glass, wherein the mass ratio (B2O3/R2O) is 0.88-4.0 when boron contained is expressed in terms of B2O3, and R (R is one or more kinds selected from Li, Na and K) contained is expressed in terms of R2O. The exhaust tube for the display is made of the SiO2-Al2O3-B2O3-based glass, wherein the mass ratio (B2O3/R2O) is 0.88-4.0 when boron contained is expressed in terms of B2O3, and R (R is one or more kinds selected from Li, Na and K) contained is expressed in terms of R2O.COPYRIGHT : (C)2006, JPO&NCIPI
