PURPOSE : A method for vegetation of the sediment surface by placing a vegetation mat containing a vegetation-promoting mixture of seeds of grass, flower, crops, etc. on the sediment surface is provided. The method is simple to construct and prevents the outflow of sediment and land surface erosion. CONSTITUTION : Seeds of grass, flower, crops, etc are blended with fertilizer and a polymer material with low moisture contents to give a vegetation-promoting mixture(30). Then a recessed portion of an irregular net(20) is filled with the vegetation-promoting mixture and covered with a flat net(10) with high tensile strength, followed by connecting the contact part of the irregular net and flat net. Thus obtained vegetation mat for promoting vegetation is placed on a soil cover(50) which is placed on general soil(60) to be vegetated and then fixed with a fixing peg. © KIPO 2006
