PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a solar cell using protecting materials which are superior in mechanical characteristics, using protective materials, made of glass especially advantageous for outdoor facilities. SOLUTION : In this solar cell module which is likely to be used for outdoor setting, especially, outdoors where there is much sand dust, the solar cell module uses protecting materials made of glass containing at least one type of rare-earth elements selected from among La, Sc, Y, Ce, Sm, Gd, Dy, Tm, Yb and Lu with SiO2, wherein the transmissivity of the visible light is 90% or higher as the main components.
