PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To obtain a ferritic stainless steel sheet having excellent ridging resistance and surface characteristics by controlling the form and dispersion state of compound type titanium nitride.
SOLUTION : The stainless steel sheet has a composition which contains ≤0.05% C. 0.01 to 2.0% Si, ≤2.0% Mn, ≤0.007% S, 9 to 40% Cr, ≤0.05% Al. 0.0001 to 0.001% Mg, ≤0.001% Ca, and the balance substantially Fe, and is limited in the concentration production of Ti and N (Ti%×N%) to a range from 0.0007 to 0.0040. The compound type titanium nitride having inclusions of oxides and sulfides satisfying a mass ratio of Mg/S of ≥5 as nuclei exist at the section of the steel at a ratio of 10 to 100 pieces/mm2. The steel sheet can contain one or two or more kinds among ≤0.8% Nb, ≤0.5% Zr, ≤0.5% V, ≤0.1% REM (rare earth metal), ≤0.005% B, ≤2.0% Mo, and ≤2.0% Cu at need.
