PURPOSE : A superconducting device is provided to enhance critical current characteristics by using a multilayer structure composed of a YBa2Cu3O7 layer and a ReBa2Cu3O7 layer as a superconducting thin film. CONSTITUTION : A superconducting device comprises a substrate and a superconducting thin film on the substrate. The superconducting thin film is made of a multilayer structure. The multilayer structure is composed of a YBa2Cu3O7 layer and a ReBa2Cu3O7 layer. A rare earth element of the ReBa2Cu3O7 layer is one selected from a group consisting of Nd, Gd, Eu, Sm, Er, Yb, Tb, Dy, Ho and Tm. The thickness of the YBa2Cu3O7 layer is larger than that of the ReBa2Cu3O7 layer. © KIPO 2006
