PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a manufacturing method of rare-earth magnet excellent in magnetic characteristics.SOLUTION : A manufacturing method of rare-earth magnet includes a preparation step of preparing a Sm-Fe-based alloy, having a SmFe9+α phase as a main phase, by quickly chilling molten alloy having an atomic ratio of Sm and Fe in a range of 1 : 8.75-1 : 12, a hydrogenation step of hydrotreating the Sm-Fe-based alloy and decomposing a part of the SmFe9+α phase (α=0.1-3.0) into SmH2 and Fe, a molding step of obtaining a compact by pressure molding the hydrogenated Sm-Fe-based alloy, a dehydrogenation step of dehydrogenating the compact and rejoining the SmH2 and Fe subjected to phase decomposition by hydrogenation, a nitriding step of nitriding the dehydrogenated compact, and an anneal step of annealing at least one of the Sm-Fe-based alloy before hydrogenation step, the Sm-Fe-based alloy subjected to the hydrogenation step before the molding step, the compact before dehydrogenation step, and the dehydrogenated compact before nitriding step.SELECTED DRAWING : Figure 3COPYRIGHT : (C)2019, JPO&INPIT
