PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a welding method using steel wire for a gas-shielded arc welding capable of obtaining excellent welding operability and arc stability equal to those by FC (Flux-Cored) wire even if it is used in straight polarity at the time of performing high speed rotary arc welding. SOLUTION : Steel wire for welding composed of steel element wire comprising 0.015 to 0.100 mass% rare earth metals is rotated at a high speed, and is subjected to gas-shielded arc welding in straight polarity.
