PURPOSE : To provide a method for stabilization treatment of mine tailings and slag, the method capable of treating the mine tailings, slag and waste stone pile environmentally harmlessly and ecologically safely by stabilization-treating mine tailings, slag and waste stone pile that are the source for outflow of acidic rain and harmful heavy metals using a heavy metal inactivator. CONSTITUTION : A method for stabilization treatment of mine tailings and slag comprises : a first step of forming a liner by grouting a heavy-metal inactive shielding agent mixed with a shielding agent on a lower bottom layer of a waste stone layer consisting of mine tailings and slag reclaimed or a waste stone pile; a second step of injecting a heavy-metal inactivator into the waste stone layer; and a third step of forming a banking layer including the heavy-metal inactivator, vegetation soil and earth and soil having good quality on a surface part of the waste stone layer, wherein the banking layer comprises : a covering layer consisted of the heavy-metal inactivator and the vegetation soil and formed on the surface part of the waste stone layer; and a pavement layer consisted of the vegetation soil and the earth and soil having good quality and formed on a surface part of the covering layer, wherein the heavy-metal inactive shielding agent is formed of at least one of active red mud or bauxsol, and wherein a weight ratio of the waste stone layer to the heavy-metal inactivator injected into the waste stone layer in the second step is 100 : 5 to 10. © KIPO 2006
