FIELD : petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE : alkylation is carried out at 250-425°C, pressure 0.1 to 2.5 MPa, benzene/ethylene molar ratio 1-5, and volume flow rate of raw material 0.5 to 3.5 h-1 in presence of spherical zeolite-containing catalyst having following composition : 5-55 wt % high-silica ZSM-5-type zeolite with silica/alumina molar ratio 20-150 and 45-95 wt % amorphous aluminosilicate carrier. Chemical analysis of catalyst, wt % : aluminum oxide 3.0-9.5, rare-earth element oxides 0.4-5, calcium oxide 1.0-5.0, sodium oxide 0.1-0.6, silicon oxide - the balance.
