The invention relates to a ceramic solid electrolyte material, especially for sensor elements, for determining the concentration of gas constituents in gas mixtures or high-temperature fuel cells, the skeletal structure of said material consisting essentially of oxides of a first element. The inventive solid electrolyte material contains essentially no other element that increases the electrical conductivity of the solid electrolyte material (such as Fe2O3, TiO2, cobalt, calcium, alkali metals and/or rare earths).
