MORTAR OR READY-MIXED CONCRETE PRODUCTION METHOD USING FOOD WASTE, PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING BLOCK

PURPOSE : Provided are a mortar or ready-mixed concrete production method using food waste, a process for manufacturing blocks with the regenerated mortar or ready-mixed concrete and a pavement technique using the regenerated ready-mixed concrete with superior insulation, especially, construction of embankment or dike to prevent loss of earth and sand at shore or bank wall. CONSTITUTION : The mortar or ready-mixed concrete is produced by mixing 80-95% of food waste and 5-20% soil in a mixer for about 10 minutes; introducing the mixture in a mold; pressing the mixture filled in the mold; releasing compressed solid(2) from the mold; drying the compressed solid; placing a microorganism capsule(5) containing plant seeds and microorganism into a hole(3) inside the dried solid(2); sealing the hole(3) with filler(6) including plant seeds, saw dust or rice hulls, wheat powder or soil and water to produce the solid(2). The process further includes blending 25-30% of the solid(2) together with 25-35% of sand and pebbles, 35-50% of cement and 5-15% of water to completely produce a concrete blend, that is, ready-mixed concrete or mortar. © KIPO 2005
