PURPOSE : To provide a method and an apparatus for treating bentonite waste solution, wherein the bentonite waste solution is directly adjusted to a neutral pH range at the construction site, the pH adjusted bentonite solution is coagulated before being dehydrated, and a solid-liquid separator is miniaturized and simplified such that it can be used easily by non-experts. CONSTITUTION : A apparatus for treating bentonite waste solution comprises : a first agitator(10) for forming floc by diluting the bentonite waste solution using a neutralizer and a polymer coagulant; a second agitator(11) for continuously forming floc; a transfer pump(70) for supplying the bentonite waste solution into the first agitator; a neutralizer agitator(40) for supplying a neutralizer to the first agitator; a coagulant agitator(50) for supplying a polymer coagulant to the first agitator; a fixed quantity pump(60) for proper quantities of neutralizer and polymer coagulant to the first agitator; and a solid-liquid separation dehydrator(20) for performing solid-liquid separation on floc formed bentonite waste solution, wherein the solid-liquid separation dehydrator comprises : a rotary body equipped with a separation fiber for filtering floc and rotated to move the floc filtered by the separation fiber to a prescribed position; an air ejector(22) installed under the rotary body to prevent closing of the separation fiber by ejecting compressed air from a lower part to an upper part of the separation fiber; a vacuum pump(21) for generating compressed air ejected from the air ejector; a scrubber(23) installed in an upper part of the rotary body to remove floc that is solid-liquid separated on the separation fiber; and a transfer conveyor(24) installed such that the transfer conveyor moves floc removed from the scrubber to an earth and sand storage tank. © KIPO 2005
