PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a ferrite magnet exhibiting excellent magnet characteristics in a composition region of stoichiometric composition and even in a composition region where BaO or BaO and SrO are slightly richer than in the stoichiometric composition, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION : The ferrite magnet comprises a single phase of magneto-plumbite type crystal structure represented by a formula (A1-xRx)O-n[(Fe3+1-yMg2+y)2O3].
