PURPOSE : A SbTe based thermoelectric material adding a thermoelectric property and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve figure of merit by increasing a Seeback coefficient. CONSTITUTION : RE(Rare Earth element), Ag, Sb, and Te are injected to a vacuum ample and is melted. An ingot is made by rapidly cooling the melt materials. AgSbTe2-RE powder is made by grinding the ingot. The AgSbTe2-RE powder is cut after a thermal press or discharge plasma sintering process. The AgSbTe2-RE is thermally processed at 620 to 875K.
