PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method of manufacturing a reusable glass abrasive material at high purity from a glass abrasive material used for polishing a polishing object. SOLUTION : This method includes a process for recovering first aqueous dispersion liquid including the glass abrasive material used for polishing the polishing object, a process for forming a secondary particle of the glass abrasive material between ice crystals by freezing the first aqueous dispersion liquid, a process for obtaining second aqueous dispersion liquid including the secondary particle by melting the ice, and a process for recovering the secondary particle as the reusable glass abrasive material by removing water from the second aqueous dispersion liquid. It is desirable that the reusable glass abrasive material is washed in water. The glass abrasive material is oxide of a rare earth element. COPYRIGHT : (C)2010, JPO&INPIT
