The invention relates to a method for navigating an endoscopy capsule (6) in a patient (4), wherein the endoscopy capsule (5) comprises a camera (18), wherein a first image (22a) of an object (12) in the interior of the patient (4) is captured by means of the camera (18), a re-recognizable structural feature (14) of the object (12) is identified in the image (22a), successive images (22b, c) of the interior of the patient (4) are automatically captured, wherein the endoscopy capsule (6) is controlled for each image (22b, c) so that the position of the structural feature (14) remains unchanged in the image (22b, c) while the image scale is intentionally enlarged or reduced. The invention further relates to a device for navigating an endoscopy capsule (6) in a patient (4), comprising an endoscopy capsule (6) having a camera (18), a control and analysis unit (10) having a program (11) for performing a method as above implemented therein.
