PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a ceramic composite material exhibiting bending strength of >=700 MPa at 1, 700 deg.C. SOLUTION : The ceramic composite material is a fused-solidified body which is constituted of three oxide crystalline phases of A) aluminum oxide, B) a complex oxide of aluminum oxide and a rare earth metal oxide or a complex oxide of aluminum oxide, a rare earth metal oxide and zirconium oxide, and C) zirconium oxide or a complex oxide of zirconium oxide and a rare earth metal oxide. The ceramic composite material has a chemical composition of components, in which the contents of aluminum oxide, the rare earth metal oxide and zirconium oxide are in the range of 55 to 80 mol.%, 10 to 35 mol.% and 10 to 35 mol.%, respectively.
