PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a pigment preparation which is pasty and in a dried preparation state. SOLUTION : The pigment preparation, which is homogeneous and is not a pulverulent powder, contains 40 wt.% of one or several effective pigments, 0.5-60 wt.% of a polyalkylene glycol and/or one or more polyalkylene glycol derivatives, 0-10 wt.% of a re-dispersing agent, 0-40 wt.% of water or an organic solvent or a solvent mixture, and 0-40 wt.% of at least one other resin with a high hydroxyl content.
