PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an acid cleaning method for a rare-earth magnet whereby even after acid cleaning, its high magnetic characteristic can be secured, and also provide a rare-earth magnet having clean surface and having excellent magnetic characteristic. SOLUTION : The acid cleaning method for a rare-earth magnet cleans its surface by dipping it in an acidic liquid and applying a supersonic-wave vibration to the acidic liquid. Hereupon, the rare-earth magnet is dipped in the acidic liquid subjected to supersonic-wave vibration, and the rare-earth magnet and the acidic liquid are subjected forcedly to relative motion. Especially, the rare-earth magnet may be preferably an Nd-Fe-B-based, Sm-Fe-N-based or Sm-Co-based magnet. COPYRIGHT : (C)2008, JPO&INPIT
