The invention relates to pharmaceutical agents for protecting the skin from chemical and biological damage effects, from bacterial and fungus infections, for preventing occupational skin diseases, contact dermatitis including allergic dermatitis, for rendering first predoctor aid and for subsequently treating traumatic skin, soft tissue and mucous coat defects. Said invention can be used in industry, building, agriculture, medicine and at home. The inventive therapeutic and remedial dermatological composition for local application contains an active principle in the form of complex compounds of rare-earth element salts and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Said pharmaceutical composition based on complex compounds of rare-earth compositions and polyhydroxy compounds in the form of a liquid or soft dosage form exhibits an expressed protective and preventive, dermoprotective and curative effect, the absence of side reactions, is easily tolerant and rapidly repairs the skin.
