PURPOSE : A single bridge electrodeless fluorescent lamp and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to simplify processes and reduce manufacturing costs by using a soda lime glass instead of a quartz glass. CONSTITUTION : A lamp encapsulation body(100) includes first and second glass tubes(110, 120) having closed ends and made of a soda lime glass, and a discharge channel(130) that is formed by fusion splicing the first and second glass tubes. A ring-shaped core is formed by winding a coil for forming magnetic field to surround a circumference of the discharge channel. A mercury vapor and rare gas are encapsulated in the lamp encapsulation body. A fluorescent substance layer is coated on an inner wall of the lamp encapsulation body. © KIPO 2007
