PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an alumina porous body having excellent characteristic in alkali resistance. SOLUTION : The alumina porous body is structured by bonding Al2O3 particles to each other and the Al2O3 particles are bonded with a compound (LnxAlyOz) of Al2O3 and a rare earth (Ln) oxide.
