CELLULOSE ACYLATE FILM, OPTICAL COMPENSATION FILM, POLARIZING PLATE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a cellulose acylate film which has a high Re, a low Rth and a small retardation change caused by moisture, and also to provide a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display device with high quality display using the above cellulose acylate film as an optical compensation film. SOLUTION : A cellulose acylate film is prepared by drawing a cellulose acylate solution film containing at least one kind of retardation inducer comprising a 2-phenoxy (or 2-hydroxy)benzo substituted aromatic compound of a specific structure and at least one kind of a reducer of Rth. Optionally, a cellulose acylate film containing the above presenting agent is prepared by drawing at a temperature higher than the glass transition temperature by at least 10°C.
