PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To obtain excellent mechanical strength and heat resisting property, by a method wherein silicone component is set at specific wt.% against the whole binder quantity in a rare earth bonded magnet which is mainly composed of mixed resin as a binder. SOLUTION : Epoxy resin or its modified resin and silicone resin or mixed resin of its modified resin, or epoxy modified silicone resin are used as the main component of a binder. Among the above-mentioned resins, silicone component should be in 10 to 80 wt.% against the total quantity of the binder. Besides, the coupling agent of the epoxy resin and the silicone resin of 1 to 30 wt.% against the total quantity of binder is contained in the binder which is mainly composed of silicone resin or the mixed resin of its modified resin. As a result, a rare-earth bonded magnet, having excellent heat resisting property and mechanical strength, can be obtained.
