PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a high strength nonmagnetic low thermal expansion alloy having a proof stress of ≥60 kgf/mm2, a tensile strength of ≥70 kgf/mm2, a magnetic permeability of ≤1.05, a thermal expansion coefficient of 7 to 13×10-6/°C at -50 to 100°C and 14 to 17×10-6/°C at -50 to 300°C. SOLUTION : The high strength nonmagnetic low thermal expansion alloy comprises, by weight, 20 to 36% Mn, 0.001 to 5.0% V and 0.001 to 2.0% C, and, if required, comprises, as auxiliary components, Ti, Nb, Cr, Mo and W by ≤5.0%, respectively, Co, Cu, Cd, Al, Si, Sn and rare earth elements by ≤4.0%, respectively, at least one or two kind of components selected from Ag and Pt group elements by ≤3.0%, respectively and ≤1.0% B so as to be the total content of 0.001 to 5.0%.
