PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To obtain a mercury free metal halide lamp in which fashionable light-emitting color with strong white and blue can be obtained stably and luminous flux and the lifetime as not to cause practical problems, and a superior color rendering properties are provided, without sealing mercury which is an environmental load material.SOLUTION : This is the metal halide lamp in which in a light-emitting tube provided with a pair of electrodes, at least halides of Na (sodium), Sc (scandium), and Ga (gallium) as the main light-emitting material are sealed together with a rare gas, and which substantially contains no mercury.COPYRIGHT : (C)2008, JPO&INPIT
