PURPOSE : Provided is a functional water paint composition containing charcoal, which emits a large amount of anions, has deodorant and antibacterial functions, removes volatile organic compounds and toxic gases, purifies air, and exhibits various colors. CONSTITUTION : The water paint composition containing charcoal comprises 38-50wt%% of a water binder, 17-30wt%% of Persicaria tinctorium liquid(chokmul), 25-40wt%% of charcoal, and at most 5wt%% of side materials consisting of pyroligneous liquid, herb oil, clay powder, rare earth, zeolite, and elvan. The side materials consisting of pyroligneous liquid, herb oil, clay powder, rare earth, zeolite, and elvan are mixed in a mix ratio not to have at most 10wt%%, based on the total weight of the side materials, of any one material selected from the side materials. © KIPO 2007
